I am not comfortable on a bicycle since a fall (that I erased from memory 16 years ago). I made it up in Paris, 2 years ago. Not sure that Paris is attractive for bicycle strolls a priori. Anyway, not only did the Velib, a public bicycle rental programme in Paris, give me confidence again, make me discover this city in a very different way but most importantly put a smile on my face that I could barely have or share in the subway.
When I was in Melbourne, I remembered an article I read in Monster Children about Matt. He created The Humble Vintage for those who want to go sightseeing on a bicycle, keep it for a few days but for a reasonable price. Besides managing an eco-friendly business, Matt had the good idea to rent out vintage bikes and put them at your disposal in nice local galleries, bars, cafes such as 1000 Pound Bend.
